WindCraft: Music for Bassoon and Flute

One of Beethoven's early works - his "work without opus" 37 Trio for flute, bassoon, and piano - is juxtaposed with the most recent composition by Matt McDonald's good friend Daniel Pesca. This Trio for Flute, Viola, and Bassoon was commissioned by First Muse - be the first to hear it! There will also be works for solo flute and solo bassoon, and two works with piano: Astor Piazzolla's tango "Otono Porteno" and a short trio by the jazz great Chick Corea. The intriguing combination of viola and bassoon will be showcased in Polish composer Michal Spisak's Duetto Concertante.
