The Amenda Quartet returns to the First Muse stage as part of their Project Ludwig: The Complete Beethoven String Quartets. The 2015-2016 season marks the fulfillment of their dream to perform all sixteen of Beethoven's quartets - the first "cycle" in Rochester since the Cleveland Quartet's 1986-1987 season. It seemed only fitting to program both the first and the last published quartets, plus the monumental Grosse Fuge, which was the original last movement of the Op. 130 string quartet.
