Brass without Boundaries - September 29, 2013

with Joseph Werner - piano

Craig Sutherland - tuba

Byron Johns - horn

Mark Kellogg - euphonium

Sunday September 29, 2013 at 7:30 pm

Members of the low frequency brass family are not often showcased in chamber music concerts - this evening's program will correct that oversight! Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra musicians Mark Kellogg, Byron Johns, and Craig Sutherland stretch the boundaries with solos, duets, and trios representing a broad variety of styles.

We are thrilled to present the WORLD PREMIERE of Trio for Euphonium, Horn, and Tuba by Wesley Nance!

(commissioned by the David Potter Family for First Muse, and written for tonight's performers)
